This is a brand new pair of Spread Beam Hi / Low head light inserts and our premium H4 HID Hi and Low kit. That's 55W HID Low Beam and 55W HID High Beam - Both beams in HID. Not 35W like others and it's our special globes and ballasts too. These are wide angle spread beam lights.

Fabulous for seeing the edge of the road and ideal for city driving, bush tracks and country roads. The HID Kit is super bright 55W (Not 35W) HID Hi Beam and HID Low Beam. The size is 7" round and they suit all 7" applications..

The only other sizes out there are 5 3/4" and 4.5" so if you go and have a measure it will be pretty obvious to you which size you need. They are a direct replacement of your normal 7 round sealed or semi sealed head lights. Remove the outer metal retainer (3 screws) and the light falls forward into your hands. Just unplug the old and plug in the new. Re-position the light and screw in the retainer and you are done.

There is no need to remove the grill or headlight surrounds. The HID comes with a wiring harness that simply plugs into one of your headlight sockets. You also need to connect the red and black wires on the harness to the +ve and -ve terminals on the battery respectively.

And each ballast has a black wire thet you need to ground to an earth and that's all there is to it. These are excellent all rounder lights. The reflector is made of glass finish sheet metal and is shaped to project light as far forward yet as wide as possible in like a kidney bean shape so as to light up the left of the road and not shine in the eyes of oncoming drivers. The curved glass lens is rippled vertically so as to disperse light sideways.

The ripples that would normally shoot light to the right are also tilted downwards so as to not project light into the eyes of oncoming drivers. It's because of this they are suited to our Australian Right Hand Drive vehicles and they are E rated and DOT approved and legal. These are semi sealed lights, which means they take globes.

That means you can fit HID which is 6 to 8 times brighter. In this kit, you get. 2 x 7 Round Glass Spread Beam Semi Sealed Head Lights. 2 x our premium alloy H4 HID Hi/Lo Globes. 2 x Slim line F series 55W 12V Digital Ballasts (24V available).

2 x Ballast mounting kits. 1 x 12V loom / wiring harness (24V available). Easy to follow instructions with pictures. You dont need anything else - it is totally complete, easy to fit and ready for insane super bright lights. The globes are exclusive to us - we identified where the normal H4 HID globes were failing and addressed these with the factory.

The following improvements were made.. Internal improvements to connections, gases and materials.

Can only be clicked together just 1 way - eliminates being mounted upside down causing light scatter in low beam. The lock in is a lot more secure.

The cheaper globes would wriggle loose and the globe stalk would fall out while driving and set fire to the rubber boot or anything combustible it comes into contact with - that was primarily the start of our quest for the ultimate HID globe. The body is not plastic but alloy and the globe base is seated in ceramic. Means it can tolerate much higher temperatures and not melt. Cheaper globes tended to melt with 55w or 70w ballasts. These are working great with 70w ballasts.

This will work completely submerged under water. The alloy body is cnc machined aluminium and will not rust or corrode. It will not crack, split or fatigue like the plastic ones once subjected to heat. Our HID globes generate just 15% more heat than a conventional incandescent bulb of the same watts. So with a 55w ballast this HID bulb generates less heat than a conventional 65w bulb (which is normal high beam for most cars) and so there is no fading or problems with lights and even plastic headlights.

These are our new AC F5 (F series) ballasts. They heat up in a few split seconds and their output is AC, not DC. Our HID globes with the F series ballasts are rated at 20,000 hours of operation - assume that's night driving at an average of 60 kph = 1,200,000 klm and that's just in the dark with the lights on. So they will easily outlive the car. Also they are totally water proof. Not only did we submerse the globe in a fish bowl, but we tossed the ballast in their too.

The inside of the ballast is filled with a resin so if any water did manage to get in, it can't do any harm. The ballasts are slim die cast pollished alloy measuring just 9.5 cm long by 6.5 cm wide and 1.5 cm thick. The globes work on both 12 and 24V. But the wiring harness and ballasts are either 12V or 24V.

As almost all my sales are 12V I shall assume you need 12V. I have both in stock. It is a wive's tale that one colour is brighter than another. As it happens, the more yellow the colour is, the better definition of colours is detected.

So a tree looks green, a rock looks brown and a kangaroo looks grey. The more blue the colour is, the more everything looks the one colour (grey) making it harder to spot skippy. Nobody wants yellow HID but my point is don't go too blue just to be cool and so my recommendation is 4300K as my standard colour and unless I hear from you I will send you 4300K.

But if you want 6000K then I can supply that instead for no additional charge. HID lights work by passing electricity through xenon gas. There is no fragile element.

To blow a globe you have to physically break it. What's more, being 55W they draw the same power and produce the same heat as your standard low beam headlights. So no need to upgrade wires, run additional relays and no fading or deterioration of the lights because of excess heat.

There is no such thing as too bright. If your lights are adjusted properly the low beams will not blind oncoming drivers no matter how bright. When the globes switch between hi and lo the core of the globe moves in and out.

The globe stays on all the time so there is no heating up or loss of light between beams. There is a light shield that stops light hitting the bottom of the reflector in low beam. When the core shifts to high beam position, not only does the bright spot move into the "focal point" of the light but it also shines through a slot in the shield that allows light to hit the bottom of the reflector that then sends light upwards. Here's how they wire up... The wire harness has a red wire with a fuse - that goes to the +ve on the battery.

It has a 3 pin plug that plugs into one of your headlight sockets. That's how it knows when to turn lights on/off and go between hi and low beams.

All your old wires do is tell controller in the loom what to do so it is no load at all and your old wires do not need upgrading. Each ballast has an earth wire that needs earthing and that's all there is to it. The HID globes just plug into the harness and only go one way. So literally anyone can do this.

We have had such a good run with the quality of our HID kits we are now extending our warranties to 2 years. Being based here in Melbourne it's a fast easy process. It's never happened but it's piece of mind. What's the point replacing rubbish with more rubbish - that didn't solve my problems.

We also found colours often didnt match and most caused static on the radio in the workshop. Remember, a cheap kit is not cheap once you throw it out.

Face it - if you did a ballast, can you see yourself posting it back to Hong Kong? But I'm only in Melbourne and I'm here to look after you. I stock these kits and they are ready to send to you.
